Jay likes to refer to himself as the Red River Sage. He served 7 years in the US Army reaching the rank of Captain. He worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years in the engineering analysis, process and product improvement areas including reliability engineering and quality engineering. Jay also built the family home on 25 acres of land in the beautiful Red River Valley where he learned most of the carpentry, electrical, plumbing and finishing skills needed. Jay has learned to couple his engineering education, his real world experiences and his skills at helping others improve to create concise but valuable posts that can be useful to anyone working to keep the home in top condition or to just fix what has broken.
